Suspect's
girlfriend arrested in burglary investigation
WESTSHORE A Garfield Heights woman will be charged with several
counts of receiving stolen property in connection with three North
Olmsted home burglaries last month, police said. The woman's boyfriend,
Shaun E. Bernard, is a suspect in the burglaries as well as others
in Fairview Park and Rocky River, police said.

Friends
hold fundraiser for twins of 1989 WHS grad
WESTLAKE Friends
of a 1989 Westlake High School grad whose twins both need liver transplants
have organized a fundraiser this Saturday evening. Robyn Gortz
Swanson's twins Luke and Jake, born in October 2008, were diagnosed
with biliary atresia, an extremely rare condition in which the bile
duct joining the small intestine with
the liver is either blocked or absent.
