Westlake
Park-N-Ride adding space for more cars
WESTLAKE
A new bus shelter will be added along with 218 new
parking spaces. According to city officials, the new spaces are badly
needed. Because all existing parking spaces had often been taken,
commuters took to illegally parking their cars along the access driveways. |
Arbitrator
backs city in firefighter dispute
BAY VILLAGE Firefighter
Ron Westmoreland had been suspended for saying publicly that municipal
policies contributed to the drowning of a small boy in Lake Erie last
year. Bay Village Law Director Gary Ebert said the
ruling was significant because the arbitrator not only ruled against
Westmoreland, but cited cases and precedents for the ruling. |
Mall
proposes multi-million-dollar upgrade
NORTH OLMSTED The proposal involves relocating the existing food
court to the area on the north side of the mall in the vicinity of
Dick’s Sporting Goods. The existing food court will be renovated to
accommodate two as yet unnamed new major retail tenants.

The
tournament and foundation’s goal is to encourage the creation of girls'
golf teams, its leaders said. This is done through teaching girls
how to enjoy golf, play a better game and hopefully handle situations
without cursing or club throwing.
