Haunted
Halloween trail
Chris, the ghoulish monster, scares visitors to the Briggs Haunted
Trail at the Frostville Museum complex at the corner of Cedar
Point and Lewis Roads in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River
Reservation in North Olmsted. The trail, sponsored by the Olmsted
Historical Society, is open to brave visitors through Saturday.

Firefighter
awaiting appeal of suspension
BAY VILLAGE Mayor
Debbie Sutherland said she will make a decision in early November
on firefighter Ron Westmoreland’s appeal of his suspension. Westmoreland
had said at a City Council meeting that cuts to the fire department's
dive team resulted in a death by drowning.

level last week. Last Thursday, Westlake’s best-ever season continued
with a hard-fought 1-0 win over rival Magnificat in a district championship
game. Bay defeated Revere 2-1 Saturday for its fourth-straight district
crown.
