Viva
Barcelona closed following eviction
WESTLAKE Viva Barcelona, the popular Detroit Road restaurant
known for its Spanish cuisine, closed Thursday after allegedly not
paying rent to its landlord. According to papers filed in Rocky River Municipal
Court, Running Bulls, which does business as Viva Barcelona, owed
$36,683 in rent, maintenance fees and other charges. These include
not paying rent of $7,800 for April and May, the documents said. |

halts rec center plan – for now
NORTH OLMSTED Mayor Thomas O'Grady has dropped his efforts to place
an income tax increase to fund a new $18 million rec center on the
November ballot. But the mayor left the door open for the North Olmsted
City School District to work with the city on future recreation proposals.
