State reviewing Lorain Road project for problems
NORTH OLMSTED — The deteriorating road conditions after the more than $1 million in construction work was completed less than two years ago has prompted a series of complaints from city officials, motorists, businesses and residents.
Now the Ohio Department of Transportation has begun a formal review of the work which was done on Lorain Road from Canterbury Road east to the Fairview Park border.
Commission mulls extending council terms
ROCKY RIVER — Are two years in office long enough to become familiar with the job of council member and still get anything accomplished? That's what the nine-member Charter Review Commission is asking.
Report: Abatements creating good jobs
WESTLAKE — Through 2007, tax abatement agreements made with Westlake businesses over the past nine years have created 746 jobs, a city report says.
