Plans
in works for Beachcliff, Rockport
ROCKY RIVER Madison Marquette, developers of Beachcliff Market
Square, are “very unhappy with the way the center has turned out,"
according to Rocky River Economic Development Director Kory Koran.
Of the 100,000 square feet of space at Beachcliff, 40,000 is currently
vacant. Koran said that Madison Marquette officials flew in to visit
the center on Jan. 17. |
Navy
plane to research icing at NASA
Decomissioned
aircraft acquired at no cost
WESTSHORE
The
Glenn Research Center recently rolled out its S-3 Viking aircraft, a revamped U.S. Navy plane
that Glenn will use to conduct icing research. The goal is to learn
more about the threat of engine power loss due to icing. |
City
must take bids for new pool filter
NORTH OLMSTED Because of the age of the filter, they believed only
the original manufacturer could replace the part. However, Law Director Jim Dubelko ruled that City
Charter provisions require the city to place it out for bid. Mayor
Thomas O'Grady said the city hopes the new filter will arrive in time
for the pool to open for the summer. |
Messiah
Lutheran students begin
using new building this week
FAIRVIEW PARK Barricades blocking a portion of West 215th Street between Messiah Lutheran’s
main school building and a renovated building will be put up during
school hours. Messiah Lutheran leaders and area neighbors have agreed
on several points that would comprise a permanent solution on how
students can safely walk between the buildings.
