Mayors differ on I-90 agreement
WESTSHORE —
Officials from Cuyahoga and Lorain counties will create a joint economic development zone on the Avon I-90 interchange. The agreement ends months of wrangling and conflict between different governmental bodies about the interchange. But Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough said the agreement does his city no good because it does not cover the major economic player — The Cleveland Clinic.
MARATHON MAN:
Borland runs through Westlake
to raise money to fight rare disease

photoWESTLAKE — Tim Borland, an ultra-runner and trainer from California, ran marathon No. 37 out of 63 in as many days through the streets of Westlake last week. Borland's goal is to raise money for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T), a rare, fatal genetic disease that affects children.
City issues stop order against alleged group home
NORTH OLMSTED — City officials have issued a cease and desist order to a Gareau Drive woman alleging she is illegally operating a boarding house for women recently released from prison in a residential neighborhood. However, the woman insists she is not doing anything wrong.
