on proposed levy reduced
BAY VILLAGE The school district's superintendent
and treasurer now say current financial projections show passage
of a 5.75-mill levy in November will allow the schools to continue
its current level of services. Earlier this year, officials contemplated
pushing for a levy closer to 7 mills.

WESTLAKE
City leaders are divided on the wisdom of adding bike lanes
to Hilliard Boulevard. Some administration officials and council
members
believe the dedicated lanes would add to the city's recreational
offerings. But the police chief has concerns about safety.
